Men’s Tennis Falls in 7-0 Sweep to Flames

NASHVILLE, Tenn. ­– Lipscomb men's tennis took on the No. 66 Liberty Flames Sunday night at Vanderbilt's Brownlee O. Currey Tennis Pavilion in their second ASUN matchup of the season. The Bisons fell 7-0 to the Flames in a heartbreaker of a match.
 
Beginning in doubles play, the Flames got a hot start with a 6-1 win on court three over Vikash Singh and Henrique Ushizima. They sealed the doubles point soon after with a second win on court two over Jake Penny and Carlos Salas Tulla (6-2).
 
Singles play saw the Flames continue to burn bright over the Bison, earning four straight-set victories on courts five, two, four, and three respectively. Maksim Bogdanovich put up a strong opposition for the Bisons at the top spot, but fell in the third set of a tight match with scores of 1-6, 6-2, 2-6.
 
Luka Stojanovic stepped on court six following the conclusion of Carlos Salas Tulla's match but was forced to retire in the second set at 0-1 after falling 1-6 in the first set.
