HOW IT HAPPENED
Lipscomb fell in extra innings after tying the contest with a home run from Mason Lundgrin, but the Royals went yard in the bottom of 10th inning to even the series at a game a piece.
The Bisons scored the contest's first run, picking up where they left off in game one on Friday as Alex Vergara sent one out of the park to take an early advantage. Queens (N.C.) scored the equalizer in their first at-bats on a single to left field for a 1-1 score after the first frame.
After a scoreless second inning, the Royals rallied off four runs in the bottom of the third to take a 5-1 lead. Lipscomb managed to chip away at their deficit with a run on a single from Parks Bouck to bring home Austin Kelly in the top of the fourth.
The Bisons continued slowly cutting into the Royal's advantage with a run in the seventh on a sacrfice fly by Trace Willhoite to plate Caleb Ketchup, who was hit by a pitch to open the inning.
Lipscomb notched another run in the eighth on a leadoff homer from Austin Kelly to bring the Bisons within a score. Mason Lundgrin then tied the contest with a homer of his own in the ninth inning with two outs, their ninth rocket of the series.
Queens (N.C.) unfortunately got the final say, sending a walk-off homer over the right field wall in the bottom half of the 10th to even the series heading into Sunday's final contest.
