Men’s Tennis Concludes Regular Season With 4-3 Win Over Alabama A&M

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Lipscomb's men's tennis team travelled to Huntsville, Ala. for their rescheduled matchup with Alabama A&M. The Bisons concluded their regular season with a 4-3 win over the Bulldogs on Monday morning.
 
The Bisons kicked off the match with some strong doubles play, claiming the point with wins on courts three and two. Vikash Singh and Henrique Ushizima claimed a decisive 6-1 victory at No. 3 shortly followed by Carlos Salas Tulla and Jake Penny's 6-4 win at No. 2 to cement the point for the Bisons.
 
Vikash Singh kept the pressure high on court five with a speedy 6-0, 6-3 win over his Alabama A&M opponent to put the Bisons up 2-0. Luka Stojanovic put the squad in clinching position on court six with his own two-set victory (6-1, 6-5).
 
The Bulldogs struck back with a 6-1, 6-2 win on court four over Salas Tulla and the Huntsville team took another point on court three after a hard-fought battle from Jake Penny (5-7, 6-1, 6-0). Alabama A&M brought the match tied with their win on court one over Maksim Bogdanovich (6-4, 6-7, 6-3).
 
Freshman Henrique Ushizima put up an incredible performance at No. 2 and sealed the match for the Bisons with his three-set thriller on court two (7-5, 4-6, 6-4).
