For the tenth consecutive year, the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) and the United States Marine Corps (USMC) recognized the Lipscomb volleyball program with a Team Academic Award for its success in the classroom for the 2022-23 season.
With a 3.55 team GPA, the Bisons ranked among the top 20 percent of team GPA's for all women's volleyball programs across Division I. That distinction went to only 45 teams in the country, five of which came from the ASUN.
The AVCA honored 1,333 teams this year from both the high school and collegiate ranks across all divisions. The award is given to teams that hold an average 3.30 cumulative team GPA during the academic year on a 4.0 scale.
In the classroom, the Bisons were led by 11 girls who accumulated a GPA of at least a 3.50 or higher, which include
