SCORING SUMMARY
HOW IT HAPPENED

Kentucky had the first shot of the night with a wild try that went well high in the 2' minute of the match, but the Bisons had the first promising attack. Spicer sped up the left side of the field with the ball and put a cross in front of goal that was deflected out by the UK defense resulting in a Lipscomb corner. Just after the service, Tyler Stinnett was fouled just outside the box to setup a Bisons free kick in a dangerous spot. Ploutarchos Alonefti took the kick and put a shot just over the crossbar.

The Bisons held much of the possession over the first minutes of the match and scored its first in the 7' minute. Yuushin Nakagawa found Jones on the right side who dribbled up the flank and cut inside the box. He laid the ball off to the middle of the box where Spicer got a left foot to the ball and buried the shot for a 1-0 Lipscomb lead.

Spicer had another two great looks at goal in the 18' minute, but wasn't able to find the finishing touch as the Bisons held onto a 1-0 advantage.

Kentucky had a couple of corner kicks, but the Lipscomb defense was able to defend.

The Bisons continued to fire offensively and scored its second of the night in the 24' minute. Jones won a ball from a defender in the midfield and raced up the right side of the field. Once again, he played a ball to the middle of the box where Spicer finished off the shot for a 2-0 advantage.

Kentucky found more possession in the final minutes of the first frame, but the Bisons didn't break and kept its 2-0 lead heading into the halftime break.

Out of the locker room, Kentucky fought back and got on the board in the 55' minute, cutting Lipscomb's lead 2-1.

In the 59' minute, the Bisons were whistled for a penalty and Kentucky converted to tie the match 2-2.

In the 67' minute, the Bisons launched an attack from the back that ended with Spicer playing a cross to the head of Tyler Stinnett. His header skirted just wide of frame, however, to keep things level.

Spicer continued to run around the Kentucky defense and had yet another great look in the 70' minute, but his shot went just over the crossbar.

Kentucky took the lead in the 77' minute when a Wildcat took advantage of a misplayed ball by the Bisons defense just in front of goal for a 3-2 Kentucky advantage.

Jones got another good look in the 86' minute when he slipped behind the defense, but the Kentucky keeper made the save, preserving the Wildcats' lead.

The Bisons furiously attacked for the final minutes of the match, but were unable to find the equalizer and ultimately fell 3-2 in Lexington.
