NASHVILLE, TN – Lipscomb's men's and women's cross country teams competed at the Angel Mounds Invite and placed second and fifth, respectively. The Bisons had thirteen runners compete in Evansville, IN. with five running in the Women's 6k and eight in the Men's 8k. During their races, one women and six men recorded personal bests in their events.
Men's 8k
The men started their race at 9:00 AM CT where Lipscomb placed second out of the 16 teams competing with a total of 69 points. The Bisons were led by
Andy Stohr, who recorded a personal best in the 8k with a time of 24:36.3 to finish eighth. Stohr was followed closely behind by
Connor Sarkovics, who also recorded a personal best with a time of 24:44.5 to finish tenth.
Evan Allen was the next Bison to finish with a time of 25:01.8 to cross the finish line 20
th out of 235 runners.
Max Hooper (25:04.5) and
Trey Haralson (25:05.3) finished the race back-to-back, placing 24
th and 25
th respectively. Both Hooper and Haralson earned personal best times in their contribution to Lipscomb's second-place finish.
Sam Widmaier (25:50.9) finished just barely out of the top-50 in 54
th place.
Michael Polizzi (26:43.9) finished in 109
th and
Gavin Bacus (27:41.4) crossed 145
th to round out the Bisons, both of whom also recorded personal best performances.

Women's 6k
The women started their race at 9:50 AM CT and placed fifth of 16 teams with a total of 142 points. The Bisons were led by
Abigail Horevay's fifth-place overall finish with a time of 21:30.8.
Juane' Klaus followed soon behind A.Horevay and recorded a personal best in the 6k with a time of 21:56.9 to finish ninth.
Kaylee Wilson tailed Klaus with a time of 20:20.0 to finish 14
th.
Allena Klamorick (23:18.0) also finished in the top-50, crossing the finish in 46
th place. The Bisons were rounded out by
Carly Miller (24:44.5) in 68
th place out of 167 runners.
