NASHVILLE – The Lipscomb University women's basketball team rolled to an 83-61 victory over crosstown foe Tennessee State University, Monday night inside Allen Arena.

HOW IT HAPPENED
Despite early free throws by Sanaa' St. Andre, the Bisons quickly turned it around, who used a 16-0 run in four minutes to lead 25-8 after one quarter.
After the Lady Tigers posted a 3-of-17 performance from the field in the opening quarter, the visitors turned it around early by cutting the deficit down to 11, 25-14, with 8:45 left in the second.
However, the Tigers kept the momentum going with an 11-0 run to get the lead back to 20 after a triple by
Molly Heard.
In the third, a 16-2 run over a four-minute span pushed the lead to 33 points, 72-40 after three quarters of play.
Bella Vinson led the charge with nine points, including a couple of three-point play opportunities.

Bella Vinson dropped 15 points and converted 5-of-6 from the free throw line, while
Molly Heard scored three triples for 12 points.
Addison Melton posted back-to-back double figures in the point column with 11 points on Monday night.
Claira McGowan scored 11 points and added seven rebounds and three steals, while Jalyn Holcom posted seven points, eight rebounds, five dimes and three thefts.
For the game, the Bisons scored 48.4% with back-to-back games with 30 field goals made or better. The team also scored 30 points off of TSU's 18 turnovers.
HERD STATISTICS
Lipscomb posted its first win over TSU in Allen Arena since the 2018-19, a 64-62 score.
Despite the Lady Tigers holding the advantage in the all-time series, 15-5, the Bisons have won four of the last six meetings.
