HOW IT HAPPENED
Western Kentucky won the tip and got the first basket of the afternoon, but Lipscomb responded immediately when
Gyasi Powell connected on the other end. WKU picked up a full court press immediately and forced two early Lipscomb turnovers to take a 6-2 lead.

th point of his collegiate career.
Before the first media timeout, both squads connected on a triple and WKU held a 9-7 advantage at the break.
Out of the timeout,
Will Pruitt scored the next five points with a triple and a pull up jumper, giving Lipscomb a 12-9 advantage at the 12:54 mark of the first half.
Lipscomb's 10-0 run continued with a pair of

The Bisons went cold, not scoring for nearly five minutes, but Western Kentucky had a similar drought, and the game remained 25-20 at the under four media timeout.
Out of the break, WKU hit a pair of triples and retook a 26-25 lead, forcing a head coach
Lennie Acuff timeout.
After a drought of over six minutes, Lipscomb finally got back in the scoring column when
Charlie Williams got open and connected on a dunk.
The Bisons were able to withstand a tough half of shooting, going 11-for-29, and took a slight 31-30 advantage into the halftime break.
Lipscomb's shooting woes continued in the opening minutes of the first half, but the Bisons hung with the Hilltoppers by holding them to just five points through the first minutes of the second half. WKU held a 35-33 lead at the under sixteen media timeout.
WKU took advantage of the Bisons' poor shooting and got out to its largest lead of the afternoon, 40-35 with just over 13 minutes to play.
The Bisons tied things back up when
Grant Asman found a lane down the middle and finished through contact. He also connected on the resulting free throw, making it 42 all.
Lipscomb found a little momentum, forcing a WKU turnover and converting on the other end, pushing its lead back out 46-42 as the Hilltoppers called a timeout.
WKU, however, utilized a 13-2 run and regained a 55-48 advantage with 5:13 left in the game.
With just under two minutes to play,
Jacob Ognacevic connected on a triple from the top of the key, cutting the WKU lead 60-58, but WKU answered with a bucket, extending the lead back to 62-58 with one minute remaining in the game.
