NASHVILLE - Lipscomb Volleyball sophomore setter Sophia Hudepohl will be attending the 2024 USA Volleyball Women's National Team Open Program on Feb. 23-25 at the U.S. Olympic & Paralympic Training Center in Colorado Springs, Colo.
The Open Program is available to current and recently graduated college-age athletes born between 1999 and 2005. The WNT Open Program is also used for consideration for selection by the U.S. Women's National Team and the U.S. Women's Collegiate National Team. In 2024, U.S. Women's National Team members will compete in the following events: Volleyball Nations League, NORCECA Final Six, Pan American Cup, and the Paris 2024 Olympic Games.
Hudepohl picked Preseason Setter of the Year and certainly proved the voters right this past season. Hudepohl was named ASUN Setter of the Year and a First Team All-ASUN selection after leading the ASUN in assists per set at 10.50. Hudepohl was second on the team in digs with 229, 2.20 digs per set. She was named Setter of the Week five times this season, and at one point, she won the award three straight weeks.
