NASHVILLE - Lipscomb baseball scored the game's first three runs, but allowed 11 unanswered runs to fall 11-3 to Queens in their series opener Friday night against the Royals.
Parks Bouck gave the Bisons their early lead with a three-run home run to left field, his second bomb of the season.
Starting pitcher Alex Brewer pitched three scoreless innings before the Royals evened the score with a solo homer in the fourth and a two-run blast in the fifth.
The Royals continued to produce runs, adding two runs on two RBI singles in the seventh. Queens then broke the game open in the eighth with a five-spot coming on their third RBI single of the afternoon, followed by a grand slam to put the Royals up 10-3.
Queens scored again in the ninth on a sacrifice fly to conclude the game's run-scoring. The Bisons had nine hits but couldn't bring any more runs across after the first frame, resulting in an 11-3 loss in game one of the series.

- The Bisons were outhit 10-9 in game one.
- Lipscomb left 16 runners on base against the Royals on Friday.
