Women's Golf Competes at Mason Rudolph Championship

NASHVILLE – Lipscomb women's golf wrapped up its second tournament of competition on Sunday at the Mason Rudolph Championship at the Vanderbilt Legends Club. The squad finished 17th as a team in an incredibly tough field.
Lauren Thompson led the way for Lipscomb throughout the entire tournament. She finished tied for 63rd in a field of 90 competitors after posting a 71, 75, 76 (+6) over the three-day event. Behind her was Casey Yu who carded a 73, 82, 73 (+12) to finish tied for 80 over the weekend.
Freshman Bridget Craig was the Bisons' next finisher, coming in tied for 85th place. She turned in a 77, 76, 81 (+18). Lipscomb's final two competitors, Tzunami Polito and Caroline King placed 87th and 90th, respectively. Polito finished her tournament with a 76, 79, 81 (+20) while King posted an 87, 79, 85 (+35).

Lipscomb will be back in action at The Southern on Oct. 14-15 in Statesboro, Georgia.
