THOMASVILLE, Ga. – Lipscomb Men's Golf played at the Seminole Intercollegiate on Monday and Tuesday at the Glen Arvin Country Club, finishing eighth in the field of 15 teams.
The Bisons had three players tie for 34
th place in a field of 81 golfers.
Alejandro Rodriguez,
Sam Potter and
Jaron Leasure all finished with a 215 (+5). Rodriguez started his tournament with a 70, his lowest round, before carding a 74 and 71 in the second and third rounds finishing with 31 pars and 10 birdies. Potter was consistent in the first two rounds with a 72 and 73 before shooting his tournament-best, 70 in the third round. He finished with a solid 38 pars and five birdies. He also notched Lipscomb's only eagle of the event. Leasure also started off his tournament with his best round, shooting a 70. He carded a 73 and 72 in the second and third rounds, respectively. His tournament ended with 34 pars and nine birdies.
Lipscomb's next finisher was
Toby Bishop who finished tied for 45
th in the field. Bishop carded scores of 72, 71, 71 to finish at 217 (+17). The Bisons' final finisher was
Jack Morris who tied for 58
th with round scores of 78, 68, 83 for a total score of 219 (+9). Bishop had a team-high 29 pars to bolster five birdies while Morris carded 35 pars and seven birdies.
