HOW IT HAPPENED
Tennessee got to starter Ryan Kutz out of the gate with a two-run home run by Andrew Fischer and an RBI single by Dalton Bargo to jump out to the 3-0 lead.

UT added a single run in the third and fourth innings to take a 5-0 lead.

In the top of the fourth, Lipscomb had a chance to strike the scoreboard with a Parks Bouck one-out bunt single and Kai Holm following it up with a base knock of his own. However, a strikeout and fielder's choice ended the threat.

Lipscomb did get on the board in the seventh with a Damion Kenealy Jr. solo home run, his seventh of the year, to cut the deficit to 5-1.

However, two home runs in the bottom of the seventh capped a six-run inning to secure the run-rule win for the Volunteers.

KEY STATISTICS
Five different Bison players had a hit in the contest, led by a Damion Kenealy Jr. home run.
