NASHVILLE – Lipscomb Softball's
Alyssa Hastings was named a 2025 First Team NFCA DI All-Region South Team member on Thursday. The announcement comes on the heels of Hastings being named a First Team All-ASUN honoree.
Hastings is the first Lipscomb softball player to be a NFCA All-Region honoree since 2019, and the first-ever First Team member in program history.
The shortstop joins players from Belmont, Mississippi State, Chattanooga, Coastal Carolina, Alabama and Samford as First Team members.
Hastings played and started in all 55 games for the Bisons at shortstop and batted an impressive .413 on the season and .468 in ASUN play. She cemented her name in the Lipscomb record book this season, setting a program record for single season doubles with 23, a mark that led the nation. The shortstop also ranked top five nationally in doubles per game and assists. At the ASUN level, she ranked top-10 during the regular season in an impressive 10 statistical categories. The team captain recorded 21 multi-hit games and sported a 20-game hit streak during the season. She ended her season with a hit in 31 of the last 32 games.
