JOHNSON CITY, Tenn. – The Lipscomb University Women's Tennis team suffered a late setback to East Tennessee State University by a 4-3 score, Saturday afternoon from the ETSU Mini Dome.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Buccaneers cruised to the doubles point with 6-0 and 6-1 routs at the first and third flights, respectively.
In singles, after ETSU made it a 2-0 score after winning on court four,
Sofiia Paladi (9-5) improved to 4-0 on the spring season after taking down Ksenija Rage, 6-4, 6-3, at the top flight.
The Bucs inched closer to clinching the match with the court two dub to lead 3-1. However, the Bisons did get back into the match.
Deborah Dominguez Collado (9-3) rallied from an opening set loss to take down Julia Millan.
In the second frame, Collado had to overcome a late rally by Millan to force a seven-point tiebreak. Leading 3-2, Collado won the final four points to take the break and force the third set.
The junior stormed out to a 4-0 lead early in the final frame, and despite Millan evening it at four points apiece, Collado won the final two to take the point, 3-6, 7-6 (2), 6-4.
Serafima Bobrovnikova helped the Bisons get a little close with a 6-3, 7-6 (5), but court six was enough for East Tennessee State as they took the match.
UP NEXT
The Bisons will next go up against No. 13 Vanderbilt, who advanced to the region final of the NCAA Tournament last season, on Friday from West End. First serve is slated for 4 p.m.
