BOWLING GREEN, Ky. – The Lipscomb University Women's Tennis team took down Western Kentucky University in a 6-1 rout, Friday evening from the Warren County Tennis Facility.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Bisons cruised to the doubles point with wins at the No. 1 and No. 3 spots in the lineup. 

After a 6-0 sweep by Sofiia Paladi and Deborah Dominguez Collado (9-1) to earn their third doubles win of the spring, Kameliia Tytarenko and Mariia Dolzhenko (2-3) clinched the point with the 6-4 result at the No. 3 spot. 

The Bisons made quick work in singles to secure the match. Sofiia Zhylchuk (6-2) and Dolzhenko (12-3) each won by similar 6-0, 6-1 scores. Dolzhenko made it a 3-0 team score with her win at the No. 2 flight. 

Dominguez Collado (8-3) clinched the match for Lipscomb, rolling past Barbara Olvera 6-2, 6-4 to see the Bisons improve to 3-0 on the year. 

Paladi (8-5) and Serafima Bobrovnikova (5-1) also earned wins for the Bisons after the clinch. 

UP NEXT
Prior to first serve on Friday, the program was informed that Murray State had to postpone its contest with Lipscomb on Saturday for a later date. 

Lipscomb will return to action on the road at East Tennessee State next Saturday, Feb. 14.
