HOW IT HAPPENED

Molly Heard made it a 13-8 advantage for the visiting Bisons with her 3-pointer before Bowen dialed up long distance again to lead 16-8 with 2:26 left in the period.

Trailing 16-10 after one quarter, the Sugar Bears used a 20-2 second quarter, scoring half of their points off of Lipscomb turnovers. UCA shot 9-of-18 in the period to take a 30-18 lead into the locker room.

In the third, the Bisons and Sugar Bears each scored 10 points. UCA had a 14-point lead dwindle down to eight with three minutes left in the period on a layup by Hope Counts, who scored five points in the period. However, UCA did get the advantage back to double figures, 40-28, after three quarters.

While the Sugar Bears swelled the lead to 25 points nearly halfway through the final period, LIpscomb did end the game on a 16-4 run, including 5-of-10 from the field and 6-of-6 from the charity stripe.
