JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Announced by the Atlantic Sun Conference on Monday afternoon, junior
Cam Pruitt was selected as the ASUN Baseball Player of the Week, as voted on by the league office.
In four games last week, the Dallas, Texas native went 7-for-16 at the plate with a team-high seven RBI. Totaling 11 bases with an 1.100 OPS, he posted a double and a home run.
Five of Pruitt's seven runs batted in came against Eastern Kentucky, as Lipscomb picked up its third ASUN series win in as many weeks. On Sunday, he helped solidify the series by matching a career-high four RBI in the 9-2 victory over the Colonels.
Now with 27 RBI on the season, Pruitt is tied for third in the conference in the category. However, 17 have come in nine ASUN games, making that a tie for the most in these games.
Pruitt and the rest of the Bisons are back in action this weekend at Bellarmine. The series starts on Thursday afternoon in Louisville, Kentucky.
