
Bisons look to improve on best-ever home record

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – The Lipscomb baseball team wraps up the 2012 home slate on Tuesday night with the final non-conference contest of the season as Tennessee Tech comes to Ken Dugan Field at Stephen L. Marsh Stadium for a 6 p.m. contest.
The Bisons (25-26) will hit the home turf for one last time looking to improve on a school-best 23-10 mark in the friendly confines of Dugan Field this season. Tennessee Tech heads to the “Music City” with a record of 19-30 overall having come out on top of the Bisons 9-8 in an early season meeting between the two squads in Cookeville.
Lipscomb redshirt-junior Davey Hackett (1-1, 4.37 ERA) will make his second start of the season for the Bisons on Tuesday night. Hackett will go toe-to-toe with Tennessee Tech’s Nick Price (2-0, 7.66 ERA), who made the start on Feb. 28. Price lasted three and two-thirds innings giving up three earned runs and six hits reaching no decision.
Tennessee Tech holds a 36-27 advantage all-time in the series including the last four games.
Tickets for the home finale are $5 for those ages 13 and up. Admission is free for those ages 12 and under.
