Box Score NASHVILLE – The Lipscomb women’s basketball team struggled on the road against the ASUN’s top team, falling 88-52 against FGCU at Alico Arena.
The Lady Bisons (10-17, 6-6) kept it close in the first quarter, trailing just 28-21 after one period of play. However, FGCU outscored Lipscomb 23-8 in the second to pull ahead for good.
Despite the loss, the Lady Bisons clinched a home first round game in the ASUN Tournament with North Florida’s loss.
Senior Loren Cagle led the Lady Bisons with 10 points, two rebounds, and two assists.
Sophomore Kaylee Cotton notched nine points, on 3-5 shooting from three-point range.
Freshman Taylor Clark collected eight points and six rebounds.
Sophomore Lauren Rau added seven points and three assists.
