JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – The Atlantic Sun Conference announced on Monday morning its postseason awards. Voted on by the league's head coaches,
Molly Heard was picked to the third team on the All-ASUN Team.
Along with Heard's honor,
Taylor Bowen was named to the Academic All-ASUN Team.
Molly Heard, a senior from Pisgah, Alabama, finished the regular season averaging 14.1 points per game, good for fourth in the league, and added 5.6 rebounds.
Shooting 43.7% from the field to earn the top spot in the conference, she also held the number one spot in steals. Totaling 65 on the season, she has posted a theft in 28 of 29 games, including the last 27.
In league play, Heard was third in scoring (15.3) and led the league with 46 steals and a field goal percentage of 46.4%.
Taylor Bowen was also honored on the Academic All-ASUN team. The senior from Carmel, Indiana averaged 9.1 points and 7.4 rebounds per game.
An accounting major, Bowen serves on the Lipscomb University Student-Athlete Advisory Committee as President and is an athletics tutor on campus. Along with serving on the ASUN SAAC, she also has done an internship with ProSport Accountants, a company that assists professional athletes with taxes.
The Bisons, who enter the postseason as the nine-seed, will open the 2026 Atlantic Sun Conference Women's Basketball Tournament on Tuesday morning at 11 a.m. CST against eight-see Austin Peay from UNF Arena in Jacksonville.
