NASHVILLE – Student-athletes
Taylor Bowen and
McKayla Miller from the Lipscomb University Women's Basketball team were selected to the Academic All-District ® Team, announced by College Sports Communicators on Tuesday (March 24).
This is the first Academic All-District ® honor for both student-athletes, and it is the eighth and ninth selections in Lipscomb's Division I history.
The 2025-26 Academic All-District Basketball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the court and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America® program separately recognizes men's soccer honorees in four divisions -- NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III and NAIA.
To qualify for the award, student-athletes must carry a minimum cumulative grade point average of 3.5 and must play in 90% of contests or start in at least 66% of games played.
Bowen, a senior from Carmel, Indiana, averaged 9.1 points and 7.4 rebounds per game, good for fifth in the Atlantic Sun Conference, in her final season with the Bisons in 2026. Playing in all 30 games, she averaged 30.4 minutes per game and shot 44% from the field.
Most recently, she was named an Academic All-ASUN selection.
Miller, a junior from Cimarron, Kansas, finished 13th in scoring (12.8) and 18th in rebounds (5.8), and her 49 blocks are second-most in the league. She appeared in 29 games and scored double figures in 19 of them.
