Box Score NASHVILLE – The Lipscomb women’s basketball team fell on the road at North Alabama on Saturday afternoon 71-50.
The Lady Bisons (3-25, 1-14) kept things close in the first two periods, entering halftime down 31-28, but the Lions (19-6, 10-5) went on a strong second-half run straight out of the break to take a commanding lead for the remainder of the game.
Junior Carleigh Short led Lipscomb with 11 points on 4-9 shooting.
Sophomore Taylor Clark nearly earned a double-double before fouling out, notching nine points and 10 rebounds.
Lipscomb won the rebounding battle (40-37) for the third game in a row.
BISON TIDBITS:
- Junior Lauren Rau led the team with three assists.
- Freshman Gabi Grillon grabbed a season-high nine rebounds.
- Lipscomb shot 7-11 from free throw line, led by a perfect 3-3 clip from Rau.
- Redshirt-sophomore Emily Kmec led the team with two blocks.
- UNA had 15 assists to Lipscomb’s 13.
- Nine Lady Bisons played 10 or more minutes, led by 30 minutes from Short and Kmec.
