Men's Soccer Inks With Soccer Power PUMA

NASHVILLE – Lipscomb men’s soccer and PUMA are proud to announce a three-year partnership, starting July 1.

The landmark agreement will see the Bisons exclusively wearing PUMA apparel for all training sessions, matches, tournaments and all soccer related functions associated with Lipscomb. It comes as the apparel giant begins establishing a footprint in North America.

“We are very excited to enter into an agreement with PUMA, a company that has long been at the forefront in the game of soccer,” 2018 ASUN Men’s Soccer Head Coach of the Year Charles Morrow said. “Not only will this help with building the brand of our program, it will also have a big impact in recruiting by being known as the leader of our game.”

The partnership is the first of its kind in collegiate soccer as Lipscomb will be the only Division I program in the country fully supported by PUMA.

"In today’s age, landing a fully-supported deal with an industry-leading brand like Puma is unique, and it will keep our men’s soccer program on the forefront of the NCAA landscape as the game continues to grow in America," Lipscomb Associate AD for External Affairs Brent McMillian said. "As our program continues its upward trajectory, this partnership will help elevate us even more as it relates to operational support, recruiting, and brand awareness for our program."

The Bisons success over the last few years only helped in landing the deal as it comes on the heels of back-to-back ASUN Tournament championships and NCAA Tournament appearances, culminating in a Sweet Sixteen run last fall and the first-ever Top 25 ranking in program history (No. 16).

“We are ecstatic and thankful PUMA wanted to reach an agreement with us, it says a lot about where this program is headed,” Morrow said. “It has been a huge year for soccer and for PUMA with them signing Manchester City. It shows the amount of respect the brand carries around the globe and we look forward to working with them for years to come."

In May, Manchester City repeated as Premier League champs to win their fourth title in club history.

Fans of the program can be one of the first to obtain an authentic PUMA home jersey through the purchase of a season ticket package for 2019. This will be the ONLY way for fans to get their hands on the brand new authentic jersey.
