TULSA, Okla. - A late score was not enough for the Bisons as Lipscomb fell to Tulsa 3-1 on Monday night at Hurricane Stadium. 

Junior Malik Shaheed scored in the 78th minute off an assist from senior Daniel Muhlbauer to cut down the Hurricane lead down to one.

But Tulsa responded with their third goal, this time from Mitchell Cashion, to put the game away for good. 

The Golden Hurricane notched their first goal in the 25th minute as Thomas Wells put one in the back of the net. 

Jonathan Cervantes added a second Tulsa score less than a minute later. 

Redshirt-freshman goalkeeper Alex Brown made four saves in his second career start.

• Lipscomb is now 0-2 all time vs Tulsa. 
• Brown, Muhlbauer, senior Austin Eager, and sophomores Noah and Scott Gulden went the full 90 minutes for Lipscomb. 
• Junior Bennie Harris and sophomores Roy Henderson and Ryan Dougherty made their first starts of the season. 
• Tulsa out-shot the Bisons 21-9, with a 9-6 shots-on-goal advantage.  
• Junior Javier Leija led the team with three shots, all of which came on goal.

• Tulsa earned 11 corners to Lipscomb’s seven. 
• The Bisons were whistled for 10 fouls and the Golden Hurricane were called for nine.
