
Women's Soccer Inks Three for 2021 Recruiting Class

NASHVILLE - The Lipscomb women's soccer team and head coach Kevin O'Brien have announced the signing of three student-athletes as a part of the 2021 recruiting class on Wednesday.
Coming from Minnesota, Pennsylvania and Tennessee, Lydia Hindt, Julia Martin and Kendall Wade will be joining the Bisons roster next season.
"Small size, but big impact is what I'm calling our 2021 recruiting class," O'Brien said. "I am very excited to welcome three amazing people and their families into the program this upcoming fall. They are each so talented both on and off of the field and will be adding versatility and talent to an already stellar group of young women."
Below is a breakdown of the trio with a quote from O'Brien about each new signee.
Lydia Hindt l 5-7 l Chisago City, Minnesota l Minnesota Thunder Academy
- Played club soccer for the Minnesota Thunder Academy
- Helped her team to win the Gothia Cup in 2019
- Favorite television show is "The Office"
- Her dad played collegiate soccer
- Plans to major in Environmental Science

Julia Martin l 5-3 l Grantville, Pennsylvania l Mount Calvary Christian School
- Helped her high school team to a CCAC league championship her freshman and senior years
- Team captain her junior and senior years
- Team MVP her junior and senior years
- Scored a total of 115 goals over her high school career
- Was the first player in her schools history to score 100 goals
- 4-time academic All-Conference selection
- 4-time First Team All-Conference selection
- Favorite professional athlete is Tobin Heath
- Has a sister who currently plays soccer for Liberty
- Plans to major in Biology

Kendall Wade l 5-8 l Kingston, Tennessee l Midway High School
- Played club soccer for FC Alliance
- All-Region selection as a freshman
- All-District selection as a freshman
- Team captain

- Plans to major in Nursing
