Storylines 

• Lipscomb is in the midst of one of the busiest stretches of the season, playing three games in four games, including back-to-back home dates. In total, they will play four games this week. 

• The Purple and Gold dominated their home opener on Monday, defeating Covenant 75-37 in Allen Arena. 

• 11 Lady Bisons return from last year's roster, including three starters from a squad that finished 7-23 overall and 4-12 in ASUN play. 

• Head coach Lauren Sumski is back for her second season at the helm of the program. It will be her fifth season as a head coach in total. 

Scouting the Eagles 

• Morehead enters the matchup 1-3 on the year, with an 0-3 record in DI games. 

• This will be the Eagles first game outside of the state of Kentucky. They played Dayton, Eastern Kentucky, and Transylvania at home and EKU again on the road. 

• Morehead State was picked to finish 7th in the OVC Preseason Poll.

• Gabby Crawford is the team's leading scorer entering the weekend at 12.0 points per game. 

Scouting the Valkyries  

• Converse is 1-0 on the year, with a game against Furman set for tonight. 

• This will be the second of three consecutive games against DI opponents for the Valkyries. 

• The team was picked to finish 9th in the Conference Carolinas Preseason Poll. 

• In their season-opening win over Coker, Converse was led by Lindsey Hardin with 17 points. 

Scouting the Blue Raiders

• Middle Tennessee is 0-3 on the year, with a matchup against Troy set for Thursday night. 

• Their three losses have come vs Belmont, vs Tulane, and at TCU, all by a deficit of six points or less. 

• MT was voted first overall in the C-USA Preseason Poll, while junior Anastasia Hayes was voted the Co-Preseason Player of the Year. 

• Hayes leads the team in scoring at 26.7 points per game, followed by Alexis Whittington (13.0) and Aislynn Hayes (12.0). 

Herd Notes

• Senior Taylor Clark was voted to the ASUN Preseason ALL-Conference team following her Second Team All-Conference campaign in 2019-20. 

• In the home opener win over Covenant, freshman Jordan Peete led the team with 13 points, including a 3-8 mark from three.

• Dorie Harrison added a double-double with 12 points and a team-high 10 rebounds. 

• Casey Collier swiped a career-high four steals. Lipscomb stole 12 as a team.

• Freshman Diana Saleh scored her first-career bucket in the Purple and Gold. 

• Every Lady Bison played at least seven minutes, with 12 of the 13 scoring in the win. 

• Lipscomb has hit at least eight three-pointers in both games so far. 

• On opening night, three Lady Bisons tied for a team-high nine points: Clark, redshirt-junior Sydney Shelton, and freshman Jordan Peete. 

• Peete scored nine points in her collegiate debut, hitting three of four three-point attempts.

• Sophomore Casey Collier added seven points, seven rebounds, and three assists, leading the team in both rebounds and assists.
