FORT MYERS, Fla. - The Lipscomb women's basketball team dropped game two of their weekend series against FGCU on Sunday 92-48.
Freshman Jordan Peete led the Bisons with a career-high 15 points on 5-10 shooting. She shot 4-6 from the free throw line and added three rebounds, a team-high two steals, and swatted Lipscomb's only block in her second career start.
HOW IT HAPPENED
The Lady Bisons (5-7, 2-4 ASUN) got out to a slow start against FGCU (11-2, 4-0) and were unable to recover.
Despite playing the Eagles even in the second frame, the six-point first quarter kept the Lady Bisons from evening the scoring.
Lipscomb had their highest scoring output in the third, notching 16 points in the quarter. Unfortunately the Eagles also did, scoring 31 points in the frame.
Peete's 11 second-half points were the most of any Bison in the final two quarters.

Harrison led the team with a career-high 12 rebounds, her second straight game with double-digit boards.

Jalyn Holcomb added eight points and three rebounds.

Taylor Clark collected six points, five rebounds, and tied Lindsey Whiteside for the team high with two assists.

For the second game in a row, Jane Deason grabbed a team-high seven rebounds.

All nine Lady Bisons available played at least 9 minutes. Deason logged the most with 34.

Four Eagles finished in double-figures: Tishara Morehouse (23), Kierstan Bell (16), Seneca Hackley (15), and Aaliyah Stanley (14).
