SOFTBALL ANNOUNCES SCHEDULE FOR 2022 SEASON

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Head Coach Kristin Ryman released the Bisons' 54-game schedule for the 2022 season on Monday. The schedule consists of 30 non-conference games as well as 24 contests against ASUN teams.

Lipscomb will open its season with a lengthy road stretch as they compete in three consecutive tournaments totaling 13 games.

The Bisons will compete in the South Carolina Tournament (Feb. 11-13) featuring games against Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, and George Washington. Their next road trip will take them to Charleston, South Carolina to take part in the Cougar Invitational (Feb. 18-20) which will include two matchups with Holy Cross, as well as single contests against Binghamton, and Valparaiso.

The road stretch will conclude in Youngsville, Louisiana at the Mardi Gras Mambo (Feb. 25-27). The Bisons will face off with Northwestern State, Nicholls State, Southeastern Louisiana, and Louisiana Tech before a final matchup with Louisiana.

After their initial road trips, Lipscomb will play its home-opener against UNI (March 2) before hosting two tournaments of its own at Draper Diamond.

The Purple/Gold Challenge (March 4-6) will include matchups with Southern Missouri, Dayton, and College of Charleston. The following week Lipscomb will host Pittsburgh, Houston Baptist, and Bowling Green for the Lady Bison Classic (March 11-13).

The remainder of the non-conference schedule is highlighted by a home contest with Florida State (March 15), as the Seminoles come off a season in which they were just one game away from claiming a national title. The Bisons will also travel to Knoxville to take on in-state foe, Tennessee (March 30). The Battle of the Boulevard will be hosted by Belmont (April 13).

The Bisons will also host Quinnipiac (March 16), Chattanooga (March 23), and Austin Peay (April 6). They will travel for one game with Western Kentucky (April 19).

The ASUN Schedule sees the Bisons travel to North Florida (March 19-20), Kennesaw State (April 2-3), and Central Arkansas (April 23-24). Lipscomb will host FGCU (March 26-27), North Alabama (April 9-10), Jacksonville State (April 15-16), Eastern Kentucky (April 30-May 1), and Bellarmine (May 5-6).

The Bisons are set to square off with 13 teams that finished the previous season ranked in the RPI's top 100, and nine that made the NCAA Tournament field in 2021 (George Washington, Louisiana Tech, Louisiana, UNI, Florida State, FGCU, Tennessee, Western Kentucky, Eastern Kentucky).

Liberty will host the ASUN Championships (May 11-14).
