Women's Basketball Heads to North Florida for Weekend Series

NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Lipscomb women's basketball returns to road action this weekend after spending the last two weeks at home in Music City. The Bisons will round out their road schedule with two games against North Florida on Saturday and Sunday with a 1:00 p.m. tip for each game.  
 
Both games are scheduled to air on ESPN+ with live stats also available. 
 
North Florida holds the edge on the all-time series 19-10, but the Bisons have won six of the last 10 matchups against the Ospreys. 
 
STORYLINES
  • Lipscomb is riding a four-game win streak, the longest in a decade. 
  • Last time out, the Lady Bisons swept Jacksonville convincingly, winning 66-55 game one and 63-36 game two. 
  • Taylor Clark leads Lipscomb in scoring at 12.3 points per game. 
  • Dorie Harrison is coming off an impressive weekend where she posted 12 points per game in the sweep over Jacksonville. She is averaging a team-high 6.8 rebounds per game. 
  • Jane Deason has been hot from deep over the last two weekends. She averaged 10 points per game and went 10-for-19 from deep making at least 3 triples in each contest. 
 
SCOUTING THE OSPREYS
  • North Florida (10-7, 8-2) is riding a four-game win streak with recent series victories over North Alabama and Liberty. 
  • The Ospreys are scoring at a high clip, averaging 74.1 points per game. 
  • Jazz Bond is the driving offensive force for North Florida in scoring, averaging 19.2 points per game. Marissa Mackins and Rhetta Moore are also averaging double figures at 15.6 and 12.2 respectively. 
  • North Florida ranks top 30 nationally in several three-point categories including three pointers made (167), 3PT/game (9.8), and attempts (450). Furthermore, the Ospreys lead the ASUN in three-point percentage (37.1). 
 
HERD NOTES
  • The Lady Bisons are 9-7 on the season and 6-4 in ASUN play. They are searching for their first conference road win of the season. 
  • Clark and Lindsey Whiteside are the only seniors on the Lady Bisons roster. 
  • At FGCU, Clark became the 10th Lady Bison in the DI era to join the 1,000-point club. 
  • Clark and Sydney Shelton have started all 16 games for Lipscomb. The only other players to play in every game are Jordan Peete and Jane Deason
  • The Lady Bisons have a balanced approach on the season with all 14 players on the roster having scored on the season. In addition, 10 Lady Bisons are averaging at least 10 minutes per game. 
  • Head Coach Lauren Sumski took over at the helm in spring of 2019 as the first-ever female to lead the program in the Division I era.
