The Lady Bisons continued to gain momentum throughout the quarter, partly thanks to Holcomb catching fire from range. Two more three-pointers from Holcomb led Lipscomb on an 8-2 run to end the first quarter with a 17-12 lead.

The second quarter got off to a quiet start on both sides with no points scored for more than four minutes. The sides then traded buckets and knotted things up 20-20 at the second quarter media timeout.
North Florida began to heat up, scoring 14 points in the final minutes of the first half to take a 34-25 lead into the break.
A 6-0 run by the Ospreys to start the third quarter gave North Florida a commanding 40-25 lead. Just when things were looking bleak for the Bisons, Jordan Peete drained a triple and sparked a 14-5 run. The energy was infectious as Harrison converted an and-one opportunity and Deason netted a three-pointer of her own to cut the North Florida lead to four.
