Storylines 

• For the first time in over 450 days, since Nov. 8 2019, the Lipscomb men's soccer program will be taking the pitch this weekend. 

• The Bisons haven't lost a home opener since 2015 and will be looking to extend that four-season streak on Saturday. 

• Junior Noah Gulden was voted the ASUN Preseason Defensive Player of the Year. The two-time All-Conference honoree was one of three players unanimously selected to the Preseason All-Conference team. 

• The Bisons were picked second in the Preseason Coaches Poll, securing 49 points and one first-place vote.

• These two teams also faced off during Lipscomb's home opener in 2019, resulting in a 1-1 tie. Hayes Wood scored for the Bisons, with assists from Alejandro Lopez and Noah Gulden. 

• The Aces were picked to finish fifth in the Missouri Valley Conference Preseason Coaches Poll. 

• Sophomore defender Ethan Garvey was selected to the Preseason MVC All-Conference team. 

• Last season Evansville finished 2-15-1, including a winless run in conference play.

• Alongside Noah Gulden, other key Bisons returnees include 2018 All-Freshman Team members Scott Gulden and Louis Robinson. 

• Head coach Charles Morrow returns for his 16th season as head coach. During his tenure, Lipscomb has won two ASUN titles, made two NCAA Tournament appearances, and advanced to the NCAA Sweet 16 in 2018. 

• Noah Gulden and Robinson are tied for the team lead among returnees with seven points. They each notched two goals and tied for the team's overall lead with three assists in 2019.

• Killian Byrne and Ryan Dougherty also scored two goals apiece in the 2019 campaign. 

• Lipscomb returns three goalkeepers with starting experience: Michael Sibley, Luke Wilson, and Alex Brown. 

• Upwards of 14 Bisons could be making their regular season debut in the Purple and Gold on Saturday, including an 11-man freshman class: Luca Naumann, Marlon Grossmann, Javanne Smith, William Turner, Tyrese Spicer, Kyle Sutton, Preston Price, Austin Marfell, Seth Highfield, Gerik Jakubowski, and Dane Seraphine.
