Michael Sibley has been named the ASUN Goalkeeper of the Week and the TSWA Player of the Week and
Louis Robinson has been awarded ASUN Defensive Player of the Week, it was announced Tuesday.
Sibley earns the honor for the first time in his career and Lipscomb history as the award is new for the 2022 season. He earns the award after posting the first shutout of the season to keep No. 23 Lipscomb undefeated on the season. He made three crucial saves in the Bisons' win at FAU on Saturday night to pick up his third win of the season between the pipes.
Robinson gets the nod for the first time in his career and 23rd time in Lipscomb's history after playing a full 90 minutes in Lipscomb's victory over FAU to keep Lipscomb undefeated. He anchored a back line that posted its first shutout of the season and assisted Lipscomb's second goal with a beautiful cross in the box, cementing the Bisons' 2-0 victory.
The Purple and Gold will be back on the pitch Tuesday, September 6 for the Battle of the Boulevard matchup against Belmont. Kickoff at E.S. Rose Park in Nashville, Tenn. is slated for 6:30 p.m. CT.
