CHARLESTON, S.C. – Lipscomb Men's Golf continued its spring slate this week at the Battle of Briar's Creek. The squad finished seventh in a field of 11 teams, carding a 289-300-290 (+2) on the tournament.
Jason Hong led the way for the Bisons with a 12
th place finish while
Ford Goldasich also finished in the top-25 of the field with a 22
nd place overall finish in a field of 66 competitors.
Will Holan and
Gregor McKenzie tied for 45
th while
Minas Manias rounded out the Lipscomb squad with a 54
thplace finish.
Hong started off the tournament with a strong round, carding a 71 with the help of four birdies. His second round put him in good position when he turned in a 70, but in the final round, Hong shot a 75 (+3). All told, Hong finished even to par to lead the Bisons. Hong had 11 birdies and 18 pars on the tournament.
Goldasich opened his tournament with an impressive round, shooting a 70 after carding five birdies on the round. After finishing with a 75 and a 73 in the second and third rounds, respectively, Goldasich finished tied for 22
nd at (+2). In all, Goldasich shot 10 birdies and finished even to par on 18 holes.
Holan and McKenzie finished tied for 45
th in the field. Holan carded a 77 and 79 in the first two rounds before heating up in the last round, shooting a 68, to finish at (+8). In his final round, Holan shot five birdies. McKenzie was steady the entire tournament, carding a 74-76-74 (+8).
Manias worked his way in the lineup after a strong opening tournament. Manias shot a 74 in the first round before turning in a 79 and 75 in the final two rounds to finish with a 228 (+12). He had four birdies during the tournament.

Lipscomb Men's Golf will be back on the course on March 4-5 at the Desert Mountain Intercollegiate hosted by Michigan. The tournament is hosted at Desert Mountain – Outlaw Course in Scottsdale, Ariz.
