TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Lipscomb Men's Golf finished ninth in a field of 15 on Tuesday after finishing with a 908 (+44) over the three rounds of play.
Leading the way for the Bisons was
Gregor McKenzie who had a solid three rounds. He finished tied for 10
th in a field of 81. He shot a 72 in each of the first two rounds for a (+2) heading into the final 18 holes. McKenzie finished with a 73 (+3) in the final round for a 221 (+5) score on the event. All told, McKenzie had 31 pars and nine birdies on the tournament.
Jason Hong put up another top-30 finish for Lipscomb, finishing tied for 27
th. After shooting six strokes over par in the first round of play, Hong heated up and carded a 69 (-3) over the next 18 holes. The final round saw him turn in a 79 for a 226 (+10) on the event. He led the way for Lipscomb with nine birdies while turning in 26 pars.
Ford Goldasich and
Austin Aliff finished tied for 46
th and tied for 53
rd, respectively. Goldasich sat in 51
st place after the first two rounds (75-78), but improved five spots after shooting a 77 in the final round. In all, Goldasich posted a 230 (+14) with 29 pars and six birdies. Aliff started his tournament off with a 78 and 77 in the first two rounds, but improved 11 spots over the final holes after carding a 76. He finished just a stroke behind Goldasich with a 231 (+15). Aliff led Lipscomb's squad with 33 pars and notched four birdies.
Will Holan rounded things out for the Bisons, carding a 236 (78-78-80).
