NASHVILLE - Lipscomb Baseball had five athletes named to the College Sports Communicators (CSC) Academic All-District Team. Trace Willhoite (4.00 GPA), Mason Lundgrin (4.00 GPA), Collin Witzke (4.00 GPA), Parks Bouck (3.58 GPA), and Will Lee (3.71 GPA) all earned spots on the team. Willhoite and Lundgrin have been selected as CSC Academic All-America Finalists and will advance to the national ballot to be voted on by CSC members.
The 2023-24 Academic All-District Softball Teams, selected by College Sports Communicators, recognize the nation's top student-athletes for their combined performances on the diamond and in the classroom. The CSC Academic All-America program separately recognizes honorees in four divisions – NCAA Division I, NCAA Division II, NCAA Division III, and NAIA.Â
To qualify for the team, an athlete has to play in at least 90% of team games played or have started at least 66% of the total number of team games played, make a significant statistical impact on their team, and have a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or higher. For pitcher, players must pitch 25-plus innings or appear in 17 games as a pitcher.
