MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The Lipscomb women's tennis team competed at the Middle Tennessee Women's Tennis Invitational over the weekend. The Bisons had 16 wins over the three-day event, including 11 singles victories. 

Lipscomb played Middle Tennessee State, Tennessee State, Western Kentucky, Miami (Ohio) and Southeast Missouri State. 

Mariia Dolzhenko (7-1) and Martina Bovio (6-5) won all three of their singles contests, while Leena Hamden (3-5) added two wins. 

In doubles, Sofiia Paladi and Bovio went 3-1 on the weekend, while Deborah Dominguez Collado and Dolzhenko collected two wins. 

Friday Highlights - Lipscomb vs. MTSU Singles, Miami (Ohio) Doubles
With six singles draws on Friday, five went to a deciding 10-point break. Sofiia Paladi (3-6, 6-4, 1-0 (5)), Mariia Dolzhenko (6-0, 4-6, 1-0 (8)) and Martina Bovio (6-4, 4-6, 1-0 (2)) all picked up victories in that break. 

In doubles, the Redhawks took each draw from the Bisons. 

Saturday Highlights - Lipscomb vs. Tennessee State Singles/Doubles, MTSU Doubles
It was a clean sweep for Lipscomb against the Lady Tigers of TSU in singles. Dolzhenko, Bovio, Alina Cherniaieva, Kameliia Tytarenko and Leena Hamdan all had victories for the Bisons. 

In doubles against the Lady Tigers, Paladi/Bovio earned the lone win of the draw with a 6-1 win. 

Also playing against MTSU's doubles squad, Paladi/Bovio (7-5) and Dominguez Collado/Dolzhenko (6-2) collected wins. 

Sunday Highlights - Lipscomb vs. WKU Singles, SEMO Doubles
On the final day of the draw, Dolzhenko (6-1, 1-6, 1-0 (3)) and Hamdan (6-1, 2-6, 1-0 (8)) earned 10-point break wins as the Bisons went 3-2 against the Lady Toppers. 

Wrapping up the weekend against SEMO, Lipscomb earned two wins, as Paladi/Bovio (6-4) and Dominguez Collado/Dolzhenko (6-1) were winners in doubles.
