HUNTSVILLE, Ala. — Lipscomb Cross Country closed out its regional competition with an impressive showing at the NCAA South Regional Meet on Friday morning at the John Hunt Running Park, highlighted by two All-Region honorees and top-10 team finishes for both the men and women.
Women Place Seventh; Corso Earns All-Region Honors
Racing first in the crisp early conditions, the Lipscomb Lady Bisons delivered one of their strongest regional performances in program history, finishing 7th out of 28 teams in a deep South Region field. The Bisons defeated several Power Five opponents including Ole Miss, Georgia Tech, and Georgia.
Senior Liza Corso led the way with a standout performance, placing 23rd overall in 20:02.3 to secure All-Region honors. She was followed closely by a tight and impressive pack:
The Bisons' strong 1–5 compression — just 39 seconds — helped anchor their top-10 finish in one of the nation's most competitive regions.
Men Finish Top Five; Atkins Claims All-Region Status
The men followed with a commanding team performance of their own, placing 5th out of 27 teams (official confirmation pending) behind the strength of two All-Region finishers and one of the tightest scoring spreads in the meet.
Senior Chase Atkins once again led the Bisons with a standout run, finishing 14th in 29:53.1, securing a deserved All-Region honor. Not far behind, junior Levi Streeval crossed the line with a 27th-place finish in 30:22.3.

With their fifth-place standing, the Bisons once again established themselves as one of the top mid-major programs in the Southeast.
