COLUMBIA, Mo. – Lipscomb Men's and Women's Cross Country faced one of its toughest fields of the season on Saturday at the Gans Creek Classic, hosted by the University of Missouri. The Bisons finished 19th out of 32 teams on the men's side and 22nd out of 31 teams on the women's side in the Gold Division.

Graduate senior Liza Corso paced the Bisons with a 78th-place finish, clocking 20:40.3 in a deep and competitive field. Harley Kletz was right behind in 80th at 20:43.4, while Mia Bergman (107th, 20:55.9) and Ellie Brewer (120th, 21:00.7) rounded out Lipscomb's top four.
Linda Perez (149th, 21:18.6) and Aly Negovetich (163rd, 21:29.2) provided additional scoring depth, while Lauren Eilers (192nd, 21:43.8) and Lydia Cromwell (200th, 21:53.5) also turned in solid performances.
The women placed 22nd as a team out of 31, showing consistency and pack running against nationally ranked programs.

On the men's side, senior Chase Atkins led the Bisons with an 85th-place finish in 23:40.7, pacing a tight pack of Lipscomb runners. He was followed closely by Max Hooper (101st, 23:49.9), Levi Streeval (102nd, 23:50.7), and James Schmidt (104th, 23:50.7), with the trio finishing within seconds of each other.
Veteran Brady Yingst finished 128th in 24:01.9, while Matt Hansen (153rd, 24:12.6) and Ben Butcher (187th, 24:35.5) provided depth. Will Jefferson rounded out the squad in 225th at 25:25.4.
The men placed 19th out of 32 teams, showing strong pack running against a field that featured multiple nationally ranked programs.
