HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – Lipscomb Men's and Women's Cross Country competed in a deep field at the Southern Showcase hosted by Jacksonville State on Friday morning. The Women's squad placed 10th overall in the 5k, while the Men's team turned in several strong performances in the 8k, though official team results are still pending due to timing issues.

Women's 5k Recap

Mia Bergman once again paced the Bisons, finishing 14th overall with a time of 17:05.5. She was followed by Lauren Eilers (74th, 17:55.6) and Lydia Cromwell (80th, 17:59.2) to round out the top three for Lipscomb.

Delaney Dumm (84th, 18:02.4), Mallory Bigelow (88th, 18:05.9), Addi Greene (97th, 18:10.0), and Grace McGuckin (109th, 18:17.9) closed out the scoring effort, helping the Bisons secure a 10th-place finish in the team standings.

Men's 8k Recap

The men's race is still awaiting finalized results due to live timing issues, but the Bisons had several top-25 finishers in a stacked field. Levi Streeval led the way in 16th place with a time of 23:57.1, followed closely by Will Jefferson (20th, 24:06.6) and Max Hooper (21st, 24:08.9).

Joe Ponter crossed 39th in 24:36.5, with Cole Kimmel (45th, 24:38.9), Trey Haralson (48th, 24:39.7), and Will Goodrich (54th, 24:42.8) rounding out the confirmed finishes. Additional Bisons — TJ Jones, Andy Stohr, and Bingham Hundson — also competed, with times still pending official results.
