JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Lipscomb Men's Golf opened up its spring 2026 season at the Sea Best Invitational hosted by Jacksonville, finishing seventh in a field of 14 teams. Included in the field were ranked opponents No. 5 Florida and No. 34 Texas A&M, along with ASUN foes FGCU, North Florida, North Alabama, and Jacksonville. The tournament was shortened to two rounds due to cold, windy conditions.
Lipscomb was led by
Rio Saigal, who finished tied for 12
th as the only Bison to finish under par. He shot a 72 in the first round, but connected on a 69 in the second round to finish with a 141 (-1). He was one of 15 athletes who finished under par in the event.
Minas Manias also posted a top-20 finish as he tied for 20
th. He shot a 70 over the first 18 holes and followed it up with a 73 in the final round. All told, he scored a 143 (+1) in his first event of the spring.
Toby Bishop was Lipscomb's next finisher, tying for 27
th in the field. Bishop had the best first round for the Bisons, carding a 70. He shot a 74 on Tuesday to finish with a 144 (+2).
Ciaran Murphy and
Maxi Klaus were the final two team finishers for Lipscomb. Murphy carded a 73, 76 (+7) while Klaus put up an 82, 77 (+17).
Alexander Moeldrup competed as an individual, finishing tied for 58
th out of 86. Moeldrup finished (+9), carding a 76 and 75 in the first and second rounds, respectively.
