NASHVILLE – The Lipscomb University Baseball team was unable to finish off a series sweep over the University of North Alabama on Sunday afternoon, as the Lions defeated the Bisons 13-7 inside Ken Dugan Field at Stephen Lee Marsh Stadium.

HOW IT HAPPENED
The Lions opened the contest with three runs in the first inning and six in the second to lead 9-0.
However, the Bisons began chipping away, as
Cam Pruitt made it a 9-1 score with a base hit to right-center.
In the fourth, after a lead-off hit by
Damion Kenealy Jr.,
Jordan Thomas found the wind blowing out to left field and crushed a 371-foot ball to the hitting cages in left field to cut the score to 9-3.
UNA got a run back in the fifth on a fielding error, but Lipscomb responded in a loud way thanks to Thomas again. AFter a lead-off double by
Keaton Mahan, Thomas went to left field again for a 368-foot shot for his second homer of the game.
Now trailing 10-5, and following a free pass by
Brock Beddingfield and a
Hutson Miles double,
Brady Miller greeted the new UNA pitcher in Sawyer Toney with a two-run double to make it a 10-7 game.
In the eighth, two hits and four walks by the Lions' bats saw them score three times to put it away and win the game 13-7.
