HOW IT HAPPENED
The game remained scoreless until the third inning, when Austin Peay took the lead after Conley scored on a fielder's choice, making it 1-0 in favor of the visitors.

In the fifth inning, Lipscomb retaliated with Hutson Miles hitting a solo home run to right field, leveling the score at 1-1.

Austin Peay responded in the sixth inning, with Costello delivering a two-run single to push it ahead 3-1 to give the Governors the lead for good.

In the seventh, Wisdom extended the lead for APSU with a solo homer to center, and Proctor later singled, but the Bisons kept the inning from escalating further. The score stood at 4-1.

Austin Peay added another run in the eighth with a sacrifice fly from Matias, increasing its lead to 5-1.
