BRYAN, Texas – Led by
Casey Yu's top 15 finish, the Lipscomb University Women's Golf team finished up regular season play this week at the 22nd Annual "Mo"Morial, played at the Traditions Club.
Over the three-day, 54-hole tournament, the Bisons shot a 941. After a slow start on Monday, the Bisons rebounded to team scores of 308 on Tuesday and 309 on Wednesday.
Casey Yu led the Bisons with a 12th-place finish, tying with Samantha Colombine of Northern Colorado, Kinslea Jones of Kansas and Amelia Guo of Sam Houston State. After shooting a 76 and 77 through 36 holes, she played an even par, 72 in Wednesday's final 18.
The 72 on the final 18 was tied for the third-lowest in the field on Wednesday.
Sliding up 17 spots to finish in the top 15, she posted three birdies, including on back-to-back par 4's on holes 17 and 18.
Christina Surcey also shook off a slow start, as she finished with a +17, 233. After recording an 81 in her opening round, she posted nine pars and two birdies in the second round for a 77. Wednesday, she only had one birdie on a par-3 on 16, but her 13 pars and just four bogeys saw her end the round with a 75.
Ava Bankston fired a 240 over the 54-hole event, posting a 79 in the second round.
Katya Tibbetts had three birdies in the second round and four in total with a 243 total score. With those one-unders in round two, she carded a 75.

The Bisons will now turn their attention to the Atlantic Sun Conference Championships, which will commence from April 17-19 at the Dothan Country Club in Dothan, Alabama.
