Schenck Goes 2-for-2 in ASUN Setter of the Week Awards

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. – Two weeks into the season. Two Setter of the Week awards for Kelsey Schenck. This is starting to become a pattern for the junior, as the league office announced the Volleyball weekly awards on Tuesday.
The Overland Park, Kansas was instrumental in Lipscomb's 2-1 weekend that saw the Bisons pick up wins over Florida State and South Alabama.
In 11 sets played, she led the league with over 10 assists per set and led an offense that hit .214 and had 143 kills against two perennial NCAA Tournament teams in Kansas and Florida State.
Additionally, she added 33 digs (3.0 per set), 10 kills and five service aces.
After totaling 30 assists and 13 digs on Thursday against then No. 16 Kansas, she posted 44 assists, 12 digs and four kills in Lipscomb's four-set win over Florida State. For LUV, it was the program's first victory over a Power 4 school since Kansas State in 2023.
In the sweep of South Alabama, Schenck polished off the weekend with a 37 assists, eight digs and four kills. At the service line, while matching her career-best in aces, she did not record a service error in 22 attempts.
So far in five matches this season, Schenck is 16th in Division I with 10.78 assists per game and 63rd in total assists with 194. Additionally, her 11 aces is second in the league and 60th in Division I.
The Bisons return to action on Thursday against the University of Washington in Seattle.
