CROSS COUNTRY WOMEN 4TH, MEN 5th AT THE LIVE IN LOU CLASSIC

LOUISVILLE – The Lipscomb men's and women's cross country teams landed two top-five finishes at the Live in Lou classic Saturday morning following a flurry of personal bests for the Bisons.

The women's team secured their 4th place finish with 205 total points from an impressive team performance. Sophomore Lydia Miller led the Lady Bisons with a 16th place finish and a time of 17:00.4.

Seven Lady Bisons logged personal best times in the 5k, including five of their first eight finishers – Lydia Miller, Colbi Borland, Merabu Nagwandala, Mackenzie Barnett, Kiara Carter, Allena Klamorick, and Kaylee Wilson put up personal bests ranging from 2.9 to 34.2 seconds.

The men's team logged 206 points to finish 5th following twelve personal best times from the Bisons, six of which were recorded from the first eight Bison finishers. Senior Brent Leber led the Bisons with a time of 24:00.2 and to finish 26th.

Lipscomb runners Brady Johnson, Joshua Bell, Patrick Smith, Grant O'Callaghan, Cole Kimmel, Sam Shaylor, Ben Butcher, Jonathan Schwind, Cole Streich, Bing Hudson, Andy Stohr, and Jason Risse posted their best collegiate competition times yet by a range of 3.6 seconds to 1 minute and 35.2 seconds.
