NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Lipscomb men's basketball returns to Music City after spending the last two weeks on the road in Florida. The Bisons will wrap up their home slate with two games against Kennesaw State on Friday and Saturday at 7 p.m. each day.
 
Both games are set to be aired on ESPN+ with father-son duo Jonathan and Justin Seamon handling the call.
 
Lipscomb has won 19 of the last 21 games in the series and leads 23-7 overall.
 

KNOW YOUR OPPONENT
  • KSU(4-16, 1-11) is coming off its first ASUN win in nearly two years after downing Stetson 83-75 during the Owls' home finale this last Saturday. The win marked the first league victory for Head Coach Amir Abdur-Rahim, snapping a 27-game conference losing streak.
  • Spencer Rogers was the driving force behind KSU's win, leading all players with 27 points, his eighth game this season with 20 or more points. Rodgers drained five three-pointers in the game, his third straight game with five or more triples. He is currently ranked second in the conference averaging 17 points per game and fourth for three-pointers per game averaging 2.9. Rodgers' 42.9 three-point shooting percentage currently ranks 22nd in the country.
  • As a team, KSU is averaging 7.2 treys per game which if maintained would rank second in DI history. KSU's 32.1 shooting percentage from beyond the arc currently ranks seventh in DI single-season history. Rogers and Chris Youngblood have combined for 96 of KSU's 144 total three-pointers.
  • Rogers and Youngblood (12.1 ppg) are the only two Owls averaging double figures.
  • KSU ranks ninth in the ASUN in scoring at 65.3 ppg, and is allowing 69.3 (8th).

  • Junior center Ahsan Asadullah, a midseason watch list selection for the Lou Henson Award for the nation's top Mid-Major player, leads the Bisons in scoring (14.1), rebounding (7.9) and assists (3.6) per game … His 58.0 FG% ranks 27th nationally … Recorded two 20-point outings last weekend at Jacksonville, giving him 3 such games in the last 4 contests, and 5 overall this season … Scored 23 points and 9 rebounds Friday, and followed with 26 points and 8 rebounds Saturday … Combined to shoot 23-of-33 (.697) from the floor against the Dolphins … 10 of his 17 total rebounds were on the offensive end … Over his last 4 games, he is averaging 19.5 ppg, 8.0 rpg and 4.0 apg while shooting 67.3% (35-52) overall and 61.5% (8-13) from the FT stripe … Leads the ASUN in FG made (141 – 19th NCAA), defensive rebounds (132), total rebounds (181 – 25th NCAA) and total assists (82) … He is 2nd in rebounds per game, FG% (58.0) and in offensive boards (49) … Has pulled down a league-leading four double-doubles this season after totaling an ASUN-leading 15 last season … His 5 assists Saturday at Stetson match a season-high for him in league play.
  • Romeao Ferguson ranks second on the team and is the top senior scorer in the ASUN at 13.2 ppg … He had averaged 18.3 points over his previous six outings, including three 20-point games, before averaging 6.5 ppg in two games at Jacksonville over the weekend … In league games, he's pouring in 13.9 ppg and 5.3 rpg … Earned his 3rd ASUN Newcomer of the Week two weeks ago, after averaging a double-double with 17.0 ppg, 10.0 rpg and 4.0 apg in split games at Stetson … Pulled down his first double-double of the year with 20 points and 12 boards in a Saturday win against the Hatters … He has scored in double figures in 18-of-22 outings this season … He leads the conference with 31 steals and has swiped at least two in 12 outings.
  • KJ Johnson ranks third on the Bisons in scoring at 12.4 ppg … Averaged 15.1 ppg, 3.0 rpg and 5.5 apg in two games at Jacksonville over the weekend … Ranks 3rd in the ASUN in FT% (81.4), draining 57-of-70 at the stripe … Also averaging 3.4 RPG and has a 1.6 assist-turnover ratio with 45 assists to 29 miscues … He has scored 10+ points in 12-of-17 games… Produced a season-high 25 points against Freed-Hardeman and added a 20-point outing in the opener at Bellarmine … Assisted a season high 7 times Saturday at Jacksonville, leading to 11 assists – 4 turnovers in two games against the Dolphins.

  • Of Lipscomb's 23 games thus far this season, 16 have been decided by 12 points or less.
  • The Bisons are in their 17th season of play in the ASUN Conference after joining the league as a full-time member in 2003-04.
  • Lipscomb is the lone league team to defeat Bellarmine this season when the Bisons swept the Knights on opening weekend.
  • Lipscomb holds a 23-7 advantage over Kennesaw State in the all-time series after having won 19 of the last 21 against the Owls.
  • Lipscomb's 324 total assists on the year rank 25th in the country. The team's 14.1 assists per game and 1.17 assist-turnover ratio are the 2nd-best totals in the ASUN.
  • The Bisons lead the ASUN in free throws made (307) and attempted (435). Those totals rank 32nd and 28th in the country, respectively.
  • Lipscomb shoots it from deep at a 36.0 percent clip, the 4th-best mark in the ASUN and 78th in the country.
  • Asadullah's 181 total rebounds are the 25th most across Division I.
  • The Bisons are one of the best teams in the country at committing a low number of fouls. Their 13.6 personal fouls per game are the 45th-fewest in DI.
