NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Lipscomb volleyball returns to action this weekend for another ASUN Conference series where they will host Bellarmine in the first-ever meetings on Friday and Saturday in Allen Arena. Both matches will have a 6 p.m. first serve.
KNOW YOUR OPPONENT
- The Knights enter the weekend 1-7 overall and 0-4 in the ASUN after playing Kennesaw State in four-straight matches the last two weekends. The Owls took 12 of the 15 sets played.
- Bellarmine's top point producers this season have come from the middle where Hannah Brown and Abbie Oetting have totaled 82 and 75.5 points, respectively.
- Brown is the Knights' kills leader as well with 73 while Oetting has a team high 26 total blocks.
HERD NOTES
- The Bisons enter the matches 6-2 on the season and 3-1 in the ASUN after splitting a pair of matches with North Alabama earlier this week.
- Lipscomb's six wins are the second most in the ASUN (KSU 6-0).
- The Bisons lead the league in aces (55) and aces per set (2.04).
- Their offense is one of the best in the league, ranking 2nd in total points (472.0), kills (371), and assists (326). They are 3rd in kills per set (13.74), hitting percentage (.255), assists per set (12.07) and points per set (17.5).
- Senior Megan Kuper leads the team and ranks 3rd in the league in total points at 114.0, while her 94 are fourth most. She stands 2nd in the ASUN with 13 total aces.
- Kuper has six matches of 10+ kills and has recorded three double-doubles in her last four outings.
- Setter Delaney Dilfer – 2x ASUN Freshman of the Week – has started off her collegiate career in a strong way. She stands 3rd in the conference with 252 total assists and a 9.69 assists per set number. She is ninth in the league with eight aces.
- Senior Alyssa Zwolensky ranks 6th in the ASUN with 79 total digs and 5th averaging 3.95 digs per set. She has at least 12 digs in five of the six outings this season.
- Senior Sami Rubal stands 4th in the ASUN behind a .320 swinging clip. She has 65 kills on 128 total attacks with only 24 errors.
- Freshman Meg Mersman currently tops the conference with a .357 hitting percentage while Megan Kuper ranks fourth with 94 kills on the year.
