NASHVILLE, Tenn. – Lipscomb men's basketball hits the road for the first time in four weeks when it travels for games at Stetson this weekend.
 
The Bisons (11-8, 5-3 ASUN) and Hatters (6-9, 3-5) will tip off at 6 p.m. CT Friday and 4 p.m. CT Saturday, with both games being streamed on ESPN+.
 

KNOW YOUR OPPONENT
  • Stetson, the ASUN's preseason No. 3 ranked squad, closed last weekend with a 77-66 win at FGCU. On Monday, Stetson routed Carver, 110-56, setting a school record with 19 3-pointers.
  • Sophomore Rob Perry has regained his swagger over the last three games, averaging 21.3 points, 5.3 rebounds, and 3.7 assists while shooting 67 percent (12-18) from 3-point range. He was named ASUN Player of the Week on Monday after erupting for 30 points in Saturday's victory at FGCU.
  • Freshman Josh Smith had the best game of his career on Jan. 23 at Bellarmine, scoring 24 points and grabbing 9 rebounds. He was 8 of 10 from the field, including 4 of 5 from 3-point range.
  • Perry leads the Hatters in scoring (14.5), while redshirt freshman Chase Johnson is second (13.8). Perry tied a school record at UNA by making 8 3-pointers in Stetson's 86-77 win.
 
ABOUT THE BISONS
  • Romeao Ferguson leads the team offensively and is the top senior scorer in the ASUN at 13.5 ppg … He's averaged 19.0 points over his last four outings, including a 21-point performance against UNF and a season high 22 points against FGCU … In league games, he's pouring in 15.0 ppg, the 5th-highest total in the conference and ranks 4th with a 47.6 three-point percentage … He has earned two ASUN Newcomer of the Week honors this season, the only weekly awards for any Bison on the year … He has scored in double figures in 16-of-18 outings this season … He leads the conference with 26 steals and has swiped at least two in 11 outings.
  • KJ Johnson ranks second on the Bisons in scoring at 13.0 ppg … Is the ASUN's top 3-point shooter at 51.4% after making 18-of-35 attempts … Ranks 3rd in the league in FT% (84.3), draining 43-of-51 at the stripe … Also averaging 3.4 RPG and has a 1.6 assist-turnover ratio with 33 assists to 21 miscues … He has scored 10+ points in 10-of-13 games… Produced a season-high 25 points against Freed-Hardeman and added a 20-point outing in the opener at Bellarmine.
  • Junior center Ahsan Asadullah, named to the midseason watch list for the Lou Henson Award for the nation's top Mid-Major player, ranks 3rd on the Bisons in scoring at 12.9 ppg, but leads the team with 7.8 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game … Scored a team-high 19 points in 22 minutes Saturday against Bluefield State, going 9-of-14 from the floor …Leads the ASUN in FG made (106), defensive rebounds (114) and total rebounds (149) … He is 2nd in rebounds per game, 3rd in FG% (55.5) and 4th in total assists (66) … Has pulled down a league-leading four double-doubles this season after totaling an ASUN-leading 15 last season … His 5 assists last Saturday against FGCU were a season-high for him in league play.

  • Of Lipscomb's 16 games thus far this season, nine have been decided by 11 points or less.
  • The Bisons are in their 17th season of play in the ASUN Conference after joining the league as a full-time member in 2003-04.
  • Lipscomb's 270 total assists on the year rank 32nd in the country. The team's 14.2 assists per game and 1.16 assist-turnover ratio are the 2nd-best totals in the ASUN.
  • The Bisons lead the ASUN in free throws made (263) and attempted (371). Those totals rank 30th and 34th in the country, respectively.
