NASHVILLE - The Lipscomb cross country squad will finish out an abbreviated regular season on Saturday with the Lipscomb Winter Classic. 

The race will be the second in a row at Percy Warner Park for the Bisons following the season's first meet, the Belmont Opener. 

Among the competition on Saturday will be crosstown rival Belmont, Butler, Bradley, Loyola-Chicago, and Illinois State. 

After a layoff of over a year, the Bisons made their long awaited return to action at the Belmont Opener on Jan. 24 with a great showing. 

Both the men's and women's squads finished second overall, with each landing three runners in the top 10: Brady Johnson (3rd), Brent Leber (4th), and Patrick Smith (10th) for the men and Lydia Miller (7th), Clara Braun (9th), and Sydney Liddle (10th) for the women.

Following the success of the first meet, both men's and women's squads were ranked in the first USTFCCCA Regional Polls of 2021. The women were ranked 11th in the South Region, while the men were slotted in at a program-best 4th place behind just three SEC schools (Ole Miss, Georgia, and Tennessee). 

NOTE: Fans will not be allowed at Percy Warner Park for the meet.
